Benjie Hughes

Benjie is a writer, thinker and music lover. In college he studied journalism and wrote progressive folk rock songs. In high school he lived in Switzerland and acted in the school plays. In junior high he was a geek, just like you.

Benjie owns and operates Backthird Audio, an Aurora studio that seeks to connect people through music. It's an adventure. He's learning as he goes.

During wedding season, Benjie co-fronts hard-working cover band The Total Package. He plays off and on with underappreciated roots-rock outfit The Wayside, and peforms his own songs in quiet little venues now and again. He leads worship in churches and living rooms. He works as a producer, arranger, recordist, songwriter, prose writer, booking agent, teacher, administrator or whatever else sounds fun today. He plays piano and guitar.
