Including live jazz at your event? Backthird’s piano jazz groups come in a variety of ensemble sizes, from the standard jazz quartet (PIANO, GUITAR, DRUMS and UPRIGHT BASS) to quintets that also include a SAXOPHONE or VOCAL. More intimate approaches are also available by scaling back to a trio, duet or even soloist for different parts of your event.

Backthird ensembles feature some of Chicago’s best: Long-working musicians who’ve been developing their craft for years as working professionals at area clubs, recording studios and teaching institutions. At your event, expect to hear familiar standards – songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis or Duke Ellington, to name a few – along with the occasional surprise.
